Triple Triad originally wasn't going to be included in Final Fantasy 8. It ended up in the game as a late addition. By many accounts, Triple Triad is one of, if not, the best Final Fantasy mini game to date. The original game, though limited in options, had a surprisingly deep level of strategy that hooked many players throughout the game's staggering four discs. The first website to ever feature a human versus human form of Triple Triad was tripletriad.com. The now defunct website was basically a replica of the original game, minus playing against computer controlled characters. It featured all of the 110 cards from the original game and most of the rules.
A number of different Triple Triad websites came after that, building upon the basic concept of the original game. New cards were created as well as new rules. We created this site with the intent of providing a groundbreaking experience to players who are both familiar with the older websites and to those who've never played online before. |
On this site, you will be able to play Triple Triad against other players from around the world. We feature 1000 cards to play with in addition to the ability to create your own custom cards that can be used in games. New to Triple Triad websites, we've introduce light RPG elements such as experience and classes. As your experience grows, you can earn bonus points during matches which means bigger rewards each match. Our class system also makes it easier for players to play other players in their skill range.
